Eastern Promise in a pub and restaurant located at the very beginning of Kemang raya Jakarta. Expats love to spend their nights here drinking beer, watching football or other games, joining the pub quiz, play pool, or even just to chat with new friendly faces.
While for me, I love to come to Eastern Promise for their british indian food. They serve various sorts of curries like Chicken Tikka Massala,Tandori Chicken,Lamb samosa, and my favorite Beef Bindaloo,the spiciest menu of them all. The price is very reasonable averaging IDR 60.000-70.000 per menu. Usually accompanied with a portion of naan bread (either plain, butter or garlic) for IDR 20.000.
The food here never disappoint me! They always keep the standard high and satisfying tasty food. I could easily nominate Eastern Promise as one of the best Indian food I could find in Jakarta. Whenever I do not feel like eating a big meal, I could always order their french fries with a real Dutch like Mayonnaise with extra onion on the side and enjoy it as I used to enjoy it back in Holland, it taste the same here! Love it!
